Speaking at a protest outside ESB headquarters today Dublin Sinn Féin Councillor Dessie Ellis called on the ESB to end its practice of cutting off customers who are making genuine efforts to pay their bills and to abolish the disconnection charge. Councillor Ellis said the campaign against the ESB’s practices is picking up pace as he handed in nearly 1,500 signatures from the Finglas and Ballymun areas alongside thousands more from around the state.
